Casa Frank and Belkis

My review: A very lovely, spacious casa! The room was very comfortable. It was nice that it had both an air conditioner and a fan. Belkis was very delightful and friendly. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and delicious, and the refrigerator was full stocked with sodas and beer. Our only regret was only being able to stay one night. We wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend and would stay here again.
How was your room?: Spacious and cool.
How was the food they offer?: We only had breakfast, but it was delicious. Fresh fruit, pastries and coffee.

My review: Riante ruimte en geweldige gastvrijheid

Bij Frank en Belkis krijg je niet alleen een bed en een bad, maar een complete etage met een eigen opgang voor je geld. En dat op loopafstand van het historische centrum van Cienfuegos dat met zijn statige en kleurrijke koloniale gebouwen op de werelderfgoedlijst van Unesco staat! De ruimte die je krijgt is zonder meer ook illustratief voor de ruimhartigheid waarmee je ontvangen wordt. De slaapkamer is riant, er staan met gemak twee tweepersoons bedden in opgesteld. De badkamer is prima. Daarnaast is er een soort van centrale ruimte met keuken en eetruimte waar het ontbijt of de warme maaltijd geserveerd wordt. Die laatste is uiteraard niet bij de standaardprijs inbegrepen, maar wel te goed verzorgd om er niet van te genieten! De auto kan bovendien ’s nachts achter slot en grendel op privéterrein geparkeerd worden, dat schijnt op Cuba geen overbodige luxe te zijn. Kortom: je hebt bij Frank & Belkis een meer dan prima deal voor je CUC’s. De hartelijkheid van de gastvrouw is echter onbetaalbaar.
