How did you make the reservation?: The casa directly

How much did you pay per night?: 20CUC

Osmany and Ileana were extremely welcoming and my only regret is that I didn't have more time to spend here. They were very straightforward, helpful, and honest. Osmany especially was a great guide to the city and offered a lot of help and advice on things to see, places to go, and how to get there. The house was welcoming and I left feeling like family.

How was your room?: The room was fine; it had a small private bathroom attached as well as a storage area for clothes, backpack, etc.

How was the food they offer?: Breakfast (4CUC) and dinner (10CUC).

I paid: I dont know exactly but i think it was 20 CUC per night, but it was including all (breakfast, dinner, juices etc.)
But it was a special price because we became friends!

CASA HUESPEDES OSMANY Y ILIANA (CASA DORADO)

My review: When we arrived at the viazul bus station, which is very near to this casa, and we met our hosts Osmany and Iliana the first time, an incredible story began.
Together with two friends i stayed at Cienfuegos in this casa for 6 days first and than again 3 days more, because the hosts invited us to a party they did for us to say goodbye before we went back to austria! And this says everything! This family is awesome! They took us into their own family. The two daughters Noemi and Merlin speak english very well and they are very helpul. If you want to know what´s going on in the city, or where the beautiful places are, just ask them. If you have luck, they go along with you together with their friends and you can feel the real cuban life.
The food is excelent and nearly every day we got some new fruits and juices. Of course we got some typical cuban food like rice with beans, meat, very delicious lobster and probably the best chicken i have ever eaten in my life. You have to ask for it!
The room service and laundry is very good and accurate!
It was the best casa on my entire journey!!!
How was your room?: Cozy, very clean and quiet. It has everything a guest room need: air conditioner, private bathroom with hot water, windows on both sides.
How was the food they offer?: Delicious and very versatile! It will not be possible to eat all they serve.
Special things: juices, lobster and of course the chicken. Ask for it!!
Other services they offer: They provided us a very quick and accurate laundry service and gave us many tourist informations. Last but not least the created a family atmosphere.
Other comments: You would miss something if you dont go there!

Casa Dorado, Osmany y Iliana

My review: I stayed here 40 days.Because I was working there,Osmany,Iliana and their two daughters provided a very friendly and relaxing experience.Noemi the younger daughter speaks English fluently.while Merlin has some English . The casa and room were always kept extremely clean;bed linen was changed every 2 days.The location is very close to the bus station,and a comfortable 10 minute walk to the centre.The neighbourhood is quiet.
After five successive trips to Cuba,I'd recommend Cienfuegos as a desirable base to explore Central Cuba,especially if your time is limited.Currently the family is rebuilding their out door terrace and future guests will I'm sure find this attractive

How was your room?: The room was great,with air conditioning,and a good private bathroom with hot shower.

How was the food they offer?: High quality,authentic Cuban cuisine.Always far more than most people could possibly eat.

Other services they offer: Laundry.Advice on local attractions.

My review: I spent 3 nights at this outstanding Casa Particular, but had stayed longer if my time schedule had been less tight. I travelled around Cuba for 1 month and this was by far the best Casa on my entire journey. The main reason for this is that I really became lika a member of this family, consisting of Osmany and Iliana and their two daughters. It´s was a good opportunity to improve my spanish as they are very social and the english is a little so, so but the daugthers could be helpful here.
This was also a good chance to try out some authentic cuban food, everything from beans,chicken to a bunch of lobsters.
They were very eager to inform me about attractions in and around the city that the helped me to get the most out of my stay in Cienfuegos.
How was your room?: Not so big, but clean and neat. Private bathroom with hot shower, air con and a fan. Plus I nice bed of course.

How was the food they offer?: From good to excellent. Both welltasting and an experiance of authentic Cuba.

Other services they offer: They provided me with a large portion of turist information and quick and cheap laundry service.

Other comments: This is the place to stay if you wish to came real close to cuban life. You quickly became a member of the family.
