Structure
and parts of the cigar
The filler
is formed folding the leaves like a fan, creating horizontal paths of
air that facilitate to inhale the smoke

The filler
is a blending of leaves of one, two or three types of tobacco and it constitutes
the heart of the pure cigar.
The filler
is formed by long tobacco leaves that occupy the total longitude of the
cigar (in the mechanized cigars, the filler is formed by leaves cut in
small pieces) ; in the cigars of quality, the filler is formed with long
leaves so that the cigar has the same flavor in all its extension and
its ash has consistency.

The filler
is wrapped up with a leaf called binder; it influences in the flavor,
aroma and combustibility of the cigar and its flavor should be compatible
with that of the filler and the wrapper.

The wrapper
is the leaf that is visible; it should be attractive and at the same time
to contribute satisfactorily to the aroma, flavor and other important
characteristics of the cigar.
