& Cigars - The Stripping House
Moistening
Once deposited
the dry leaves in the place for moistening them, the process is carried
out with a compressor and an appropriate mouthpiece in order to create
a very small degree of division of the particles of water.
This process
is carried out with the purpose of elevating the contents of water in
the leaves, to improve its elasticity and to attenuate in great measure
its fragility, so that they are softer and the female tobacco strippers
can do their work without difficulties and with a minimum of mechanical
damages

In
the picture can be appreciated that the leaves are ready to be taken
to the resting room. In that place tobacco already moistened should
remain approximately 20 minutes in rest, later it is veered, it
rests five minutes, and the whole process is carried out three times.

The
workers that appear in the picures prepare day's works that will
be given to the female tobacco strippers.
Before doing this, tobacco should remain resting from 24 to 48 hours.
