CASA MIMIN HAVANA GUANABO

My review: We absolutely loved this place! Clean and comfortable with excellent service and a nice garden. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. The casa is situated on a quiet street only a few minutes walk from the beach.

How was your room?: Clean and spacious with a comfortable bed, AC and fan, TV, bathroom and kitchenette.

How was the food they offer?: Good!

Other services they offer: They help you with everything from laundry to travel tips!

Other comments: We meant to stay 2 nights but ended up staying for 6:) If we ever go to Cuba again we would easily go back to Guanabo and Casa Mimin!

My review: The situation of the house is perfect. Five minutes walk to the closest beach, quiet area yet in the middle of a vibrant town, close to grocery stores, restaurants. Twenty minutes drive to old Havana.

The hosts are a very helpful and nice family, that we probably we'll keep in touch with.

Everything clean and neat. Wonderful outdoors with terrace and garden area to enjoy the famous Caribbean breezes. We liked the relaxed and save atmosphere that made us actually feel like locals.

Casa Mimin

My review: This place is paradise! The hosts Giovanni and Amy (Mimin) made us feel at home right away. They are both very lovely and helpful providing tips and suggestions for food and drinking spots as well as other activities including snorkelling and being a beach bum. They were happy to sit on the porch and chat while at the same also providing space and privacy for us to do our own thing.

How was your room?: Our room was clean, comfortable and even included air con!

How was the food they offer?: Amy made us wonderful Cuban coffee on arrival as well as each morning.

Other services they offer: Our hosts provided welcome recommendations on a range of activities as well as being of great assistance in navigating the local currency, organising taxis and finding some wonderful restaurant gems

Other comments: We stayed 2 nights and wish we had stayed much longer.

My review: We were totally impressed with the place and the service of the house staff. We would give it 10 stars to Casa Mimin if Cuba-Junky had that many. I loved the garden and barbecue area! The house is about 5 minute walk to the beach, restaurants with delicious Cuban food and amazing nightclubs. I Can't wait to visit Casa Mimin again next year!

My review: I stayed in this casa earlier in 2015. I actually downloaded the Cuba Junky Android app to use offline while in Cuba and search for a Casa. Upon my arrival to Guanabo I left my luggage with a friend and walked the streets looking for a casa using the app. I was actually looking for a casa located on Calle 470B (I did not know there were 2 Calle 470s). Casa Mimin was no yet on Cuba Junky. As I walked by THE WRONG #712 ... I saw a blue CASA sign and a husband and wife sitting on the porch having coffee with their 10 year old daughter Alejandra singing the lyrics to "Frozen". They waived at m, asked me where I was from .... and from there began a beautiful friendship.

Casa Mimin is spotless. 2 cleaning ladies make sure your laundry is always clean and your house always immaculate. Gardeners come once a month to tender to the beautiful gardens. Mimin and her husband are the friendliest people you will meet in Cuba. The staff is 100% trustworthy. The premisses is 100% secure and located in a quiet street just steps away from the beach, the nightclubs and the main road.

Different options are available as the house has many lockable doors that can allow for many configurations to accomodate different size groups. I stay in the 1 room apartment. Its fully independant with its own patio and full kitchen. I spent time in the main house as well and its beautiful with a huge private patio, kitchen, living room. Mimin actually put up a website recently with many pictures www.casaguanabocuba.com

All I can say is that this is my new home away from home. The house is great and these people will either give you all the privacy you need or give you all the help in getting around and understanding Cuban life. 100% 5 STAR ***** recommendation.
How was your room?: Perfect. Big firm Full bed with lots of storage for my clothes. Air conditioning in the room as well as a fan.
