Very nice couple will welcome you to a lovely air-conditioned private room at this "casa Particular" in the city of Las Tunas. Las Tunas is away from the tourist zone and you will experence "Athentic Cuba" in this city.Attend a baseball game, enjoy a short walk to the central part of this historical "statue" city.Travel by horse-drawn carriage or peddle-bike around town .Your meals can be enjoyed at this casa and the food is very good. They take great care of their guest here and you will feel very safe staying here and visiting this city.I will return again and again to stay here. I travel in May 2012 for another visit.

Casa specifics: Quiet, Fantastic hosts, Comfortable, Safe, Patio
Amenities: Internet, Parking service, TV, Private entrance, Airconditioning, Private bathroom, Laundry service, Breakfast service, Dinner service, Bathroom with shower, Private parking
How was your room?: Very nice.very private.Comfortable bed.
How was the food they offer?: VERY very good.Very healthy food served here. Always purified water.Best coffee I have ever had;and I have traveled all over Cuba (Mega resorts and all)Veradero,Camaguay, Holguin,(6 visits) so far in 1 1/2 years.
Other services they offer: Friendly conversation,And my visit was so great that I won't be staying at the all inclusive resorts any more. Not interested in the endless parade of intoxicated patrons and loud noise that seems to happen to often at the large resorts. I am not an old man, I am in my late thirties.
Other comments: Rent a car here and drive to Porta Padre an hour up the road or make a left and head to the beach and enjoy where the locals go.

Casa Elizabeth Rivero Mancebo
Calle Lico Cruz #170, e/ Villalon y JW Gomez, Las Tunas, Cuba

GPS: 20.963825, -76.949084

we had a perfect place in Las Tunas. This house is on the upper floor of Calle Lico Cruz no. 87, e/Villalon y J W Gomez (quiet street on the airport side of town, with a fruit stall opposite and CUC supermarket close by), and run by a very friendly couple, Elizabeth Rivero Mancebo and her husband Ovimer. The flat is very clean and newly decorated. The guest room isn't very big but it is clean and freshly decorated, comfortable double bed with cotton sheets and clean bedding, and it has a new bathroom with constant hot and cold water. The food was great and for a small consideration they will also make packed lunches if you want. If their room is taken, Elizabeth's mother (who lives below) and her sister (who lives nearby) also have rooms to let, which I'm told are just as clean. The telephone number, which I think is for a neighbour's house, is (031) 47952. I'd definitely go back there. Las Tunas is a quiet town which wouldn't occupy you for more than a day; there aren't many taxis but if you can book one, Playa Covarrubias on the north coast makes a great day trip. This is also easily reached from Holguin. You will need to take your own food and drink as you won't be able to use the facilities of the inclusive hotel there, but anyone has a right to walk along the beach. It's very clean and unspoilt with further coastline to explore on the other side of the creek.

You can enjoy their breakfast, lunch and dinner in the house for very good prices. Rodrigo has his own private car and on request he will be pleased to tour you around Last Tunas city. The best time of the year to visit Las Tunas is in September during Carnival
