The
"Vicarage" is the ideal place for fast
food. Step off the busy avenue for a quick bite
to eat at the bar and kitchen-side thatched canopies.
Although it is one of the preferred eateries chosen
by tourists for its good prices, the 60-capacity
dining area is rarely full. Beverages include
juices, beer and cocktails. The menu lists typical
Cuban fare such as pork chops, filet of fish with
rice, black beans and salad. Its location near
the beach allows for a pleasant after meal stroll
along the shoreline.

One of the most acceptable restaurants in town is placed
between the wonderfully restaured ruins of a XVII century
building, once a sugar storehouse. Specialized in the
typical, local kitchen called cocina criolla, its opening
hours allow to go there for breakfast, lunch, dinner,
just a drink or join a nightly concert. Since it position
is not this close anymore to the road to Varadero, the
place is not crowed with tourists anymore and deserves
to be visited. The service is very friendly, very Cuban.
