Casa El Musico

My review: Casa El Musico is the best place to stay in Vinales!!! The location is absolutely perfect - just blocks away from the city's nightlife and ideally situated close to Valle de Vinales. Jorge and Betty are the most accomodating and friendly hosts ever. We loved speaking with them and getting to know them. They, in turn, took an interest in us and helped us plan our stay in Vinales before we arrived. Jorge was very responsive to emails and suggested itineraries for out stay there. His suggestions for things to do were great, and he arranged for a wonderful tour of Valle Vinales and the tobacco farms with a guide who was born in raised on the farms. Jorge further suggested and arranged a trip to Cayo Jutias (1.5 hours outisde of Vinales). We cannot recommend this excursion enough. Cayo Jutias is a beautiful, peaceful beach that is not to be missed. Again, Jorge's recommendation for a driver to Cayo Jutias could not have been better. We got to know Vinales through the eyes of a person who grew up in the area and knew everything about it.
In addition to being great hosts, Jorge and Betty were great in the kitchen. Our first dinner and breakfast in Vinales were at their home and the food was exquisite. Fresh ingredients and lots of love resulted in a delicious home-cooked Cuban feast.
The house is ideally located because the city can get loud in the evenings, but because we were three blocks away, we were not affected by the noise.
The house and yard are very well kept and maintained by the family, and the view in the morning of the mogotes was exceptional.
How was your room?: The room was well furnished and comfortable. The room and bathroom were both extremely clean and well-maintained. The beds were comfortable as well.
How was the food they offer?: The food - as stated previously - was delicious. Amazing fruits, delicious fish, a creole dish with pork which was awesome. Jorge and Betty used fresh ingredients and were very mindful of presentation as well.
Other services they offer: They have a refrigerator available for guests to purchase items from (bottled water, beer, soft drinks). Additionally, Jorge was very helpful in researching and contacting a farm I wanted to visit and dine at. He coordinated that excursion with our driver as well. As stated earlier, Jorge went out of his way to assure that we enjoyed Vinales.
Other comments: Cannot recommed Casa El Musico enough. Good people make for a great casa particular.

Casa El Musico

My review: We've travelled Cuba for 3 weeks staying in all kinds of Casa's and Casa El Musico was the best. Seriously, this place seriously had the friendliest hosts, the best breakfast, the best dinner and the best room of all.

Jorge & Betty are super friendly hosts. When we arrived (without booking) they were cleaning the room. So they gave us a delicious fresh fruit juice and invited us to wait in the rocking chairs on their lovely porch. We immediately felt comfortable and right at home.

The room they rent is very clean. It has two beds, a privatel bathroom, airco and fridge. Everything you need!

And if you need more, Jorge makes delicious mojito's and other cocktails (depending on what's in stock).

As mentioned, the food at Casa el Musico was great. Jorge & Betty love to show off their cooking skills, resulting in an amazing breakfast with everything you can think of. Fresh fruit, juice, coffee, pancakes, you name it. And after three weeks of travelling Cuba, we can honestly say we had the best dinner at Casa el Musico. Just like breakfast, the table is full of all kinds of delicious food. But if you get to pick a meal, definitely go for the lobster! Better than any other casa or restaurant.

Bonus: When we were there, Jorge & Betty just had a nest of puppies.

How was your room?: Great. It was clean and had everything we needed (bathroom, fridge, airco, nice beds).
How was the food they offer?: Fantastic. Seriously the best food we had in Cuba.

Other services they offer: Cocktails and puppies. Both are great!
Other comments: When we were there, Jorge & Betty were planning on adding another room.

Casa del Musico

My review: After a month in Cuba and having stayed at casas of varying quality, we arrived at Jorge and Betty's after a recommendation from some other travellers. It was by far the nicest place we stayed at in Cuba. J & B are wonderful hosts; Betty is a sweetheart and Jorge a larger than life character! Because Jorge has some English we were all able to communicate well in spite of our lousy Spanish. The room was spotless, extremely comfortable, well-appointed and we both enjoyed the freedom of having our own front door. The location is perfect, with a rural atmosphere although it is only just outside of the town centre. Highly recommended!

La Casa del Músico

My review: The house had a nice garden with a frontal very nice. Near the center of the of the town but away enough to avoid the noise.

How was your room?: The room was perfect. Warm, clean and with a private access.

How was the food they offer?: Wonderfull. Good presentation, good ingredients and good finish. Easy to eat.

Other services they offer: Human care was absolutely marvellous. A big part of all the journey in Cuba was planned in that house, with the advice of Jorge and Betty.

Other comments: Just to say that we are going to came back with our children one day and to stay much more than two nights.

Casa "El Musico" Jorge y Betty

My review: Jorge and Betty were WONDERFUL. They absolutely made our entire trip to Cuba. From the very moment we met them, we knew we were in great hands. They are so incredibly loving and go above and beyond to help make sure your trip is enjoyable. They arranged a trip to a nearby cave, had a salsa instructor come to their house to give us a lesson, booked a horse-riding trip through the valley for us (with healthy horses!). We fell in love with this family. They are perfect.

How was your room?: CLEAN. We had warm water, a fridge with water, beer, wine. Plenty of pillows, sheets, blankets, towels, toilet paper, and soap. We loved the form to keep track of what we used so that there were no discrepancies when we left.

How was the food they offer?: Very delicious! Especially with a vegetarian in our group, they were very accommodating. Some of the best food we had while in Cuba!

Other services they offer: They made their own little book full of activities and excursions they can arrange for you- it's adorable. They go out of their way to make sure you will have a great stay. They will also do your laundry and have everything extremely well organized and priced-out so there is no confusion.

My review: La casa particular de Jorge y Betty, Casa del Músico, se encuentra ubicada en una zona especial, ya que cuenta con una linda zona verde amplia, en donde se encuentra una adorable sombrilla y sillas. Aquí se puede tomar el desayuno o cualquier comida del día. En cualquier época del año se puede tomar el sol.

La casa es grande y cómoda, allí mismo puedes tomar las tres comidas del día si así lo prefieres.
How was your room?: La habitación donde nos hospedamos es perfecta para una pareja, es cómoda, espaciosa. Con todo lo necesario para una o más noches. Estuvimos dos noches allí y no tenemos ninguna queja del espacio físico. Buena cama, buen baño y un refrigerador con muchas bebidas para refrescarte. Además, allí Jorge y Betty han dispuesto elementos que te facilitan tu estadía en el lugar.

How was the food they offer?: La comida que Jorge y Betty preparan es deliciosa. No puedes irte de Casa El Músico sin probar alguno de sus platillos. Y si te gusta la música, pídele a Jorge que entone algunas para tí! El desayuno fue muy bien hecho, con productos locales. La cena fue maravillosa, deben probar el cerdo al estilo Jorge.

Other comments: En cuanto a los anfitriones. Tenemos que decir que se preocupan por cada detalle de la estadía. Conocen muy bien Viñales y pueden guiar al viajero. Además, son muy amables y hospitalarios.

Por demás, en Viñales es un destino imperdible puedes hacer muchas cosas como caminatas, cabalgata por el Valle, el cual es hermoso. Ir a cuevas, nadar en ellas. Caminar por todo el lugar, comprar buenos tabacos locales y, bailar un poco en la Casa Cultural Polo Monta

La Casa del Musico

My review: We have been in many houses around Cuba, and I think this house was the best one we have been. After a bad experience inother house in the same Viñales, we found this lovely house and this nice familly to forget our previous stay.
Jorge and Betty, really were very nice people, the house was very nice, the room very clean, you feel like at home, confortable bed and you open the door and you see a beautiful gardem with a nice trees of banana, mango and avocato. Really wonderful
Food was delicious, we took diner and breakfast it was very nice, the chicken with tomato of Jorge and the banana cream of Betty was the best thing we ate in all our stay in Cuba.
in this house you will feel very well. It was a pitty we couldn t stay more, but sure we ll back to visit this lovely familly.

How was your room?: Room clean, spacious with air acond, clean private bathroom. In front of a lovely garden and very quiet on night

How was the food they offer?: Enough food, very delicious, the best food we had in all our stay.
Recomend chicken of jorge and the banana cream of Betty. Lovely

My review: its a very nice house and it is on the outskirts of the village overlooking the mogotes.

How was your room?: very clean and tidy with a private shower and toilet

How was the food they offer?: the breakfast is rich with coffee or thea and a smooty and a lot of fruit for onley cuc5

Other services they offer: they help you when you want horsriding,biking,hiking or need a guide

Other comments: when you like the Original cuban music he know them all.
