Casa Marilyn
My review: This casa and its hosts were simply wonderful. When Marilyn met me at the bus stop with a huge pleasant smile and I knew this was going to be a good choice. Marilyn and Adel make sure that you are well taken care off.
The casa is beautifully and tastefully furnished and it is highly recommended that you sit on one of the rocking chairs on the patio.
I had sprained my ankle in Trinidad before I arrived in Vinales. Unfortunately I hurt it a second time in Vinales while out horse riding. Marilyn insisted on taking me to a hospital and ensured that I rested it properly. On the day I was to checkout she insisted I stay past the checkout time limit until I was ready to get a bus since she was worried about my ankle.

How was your room?: Clean and exceptionally comfortable. It was also serviced everyday while I was there.
How was the food they offer?: Huge proportions of delicious food that is beautifully presented. I especially liked the lobster and white bean soup.
Other services they offer: Assistance with participating in organised activities such as horse-riding tours or visits to Cayo Levisa or Cayo Jutias.
Other comments: You will feel at home in this place. Marilyn and Adel are to be commended for providing hospitality and support way beyond what is to be expected normally.

My review: Staying with Marilyn and her gorgeous family in Vinales was the absolute highlight of our Cuba trip. The expression 'warm welcome' must have been written for Marilyn. We felt part of her family. The facilities were immaculate, food delicious (the best we had in Cuba), local knowledge exceptional, trips organised for us were brilliant (highly recommend the horse riding trip and visiting Cayo Levisa) and her English was great. Marilyn even went above and beyond when my partner was ill and took him to see a doctor and helped us out at the pharmacy. Thank you so much Marilyn!

How was the food they offer?: Delicious! The best we had in Cuba.
Other services they offer: We had laundry done and Marilyn's husband, Adel, made us the most delicious mojitos! Marilyn organised excursions for us, we loved the horse trek through the valley. Adel has a beautiful 1940s Chevrolet that he can take you on excursions in.

Casa Marilyn Grandia
My review: Once you arrive at the Casa you immediatley feel at home with Marilyn,Adel and their two kids.
Room is beautiful, view is beautiful, food is plenty and delicious, the family is absolutely wonderful and the location is perfect, could not ask for more!!!

Other comments: Marilyn is fluent in english, so this casa suits for people who doesnt speak spanish. Good conversation, guide, Marilyn has a strong mothering instinct.

Casa Marilyn
My review: This Casa has a lovely room with private bath air con and fans. It is conveniently located near the town with a lovely view of the mogotes.
Marilyn has excellent skills as a hostess. You immediately feel both part of the family and special. We stayed with Marilyn and Adel for three nights. Marilyn speaks English well and is extraordinarily helpful with making arrangements for trips or anything else you may need. She arranged for a wonderful guided hiking tour through the hillsides and farms. We also took a day tour with Adel in his classic auto to the Caves of St Tomas and Cayo Jutias. Don't miss Marilyn's meals they are superb! Vinales is a very interesting, beautiful and pleasant place to visit. It is made even better when you can enjoy your stay with Marilyn.

How was your room?: Our room was large enough to accommodate two double beds with room for our luggage and clothing. It was clean and comfortable with shuttered windows to allow for cross ventilation. We had an ensuite bathroom with shower with everything working well. Towels and other amenities were made available.
How was the food they offer?: Marilyn's food was excellent with large portions. We were asked our preferences. Everything was beautifully presented and very tasty.
Other services they offer: Marilyn had a separate refrigerator set aside for us in the dining area where she had stocked water and drinks for us. These were charged for at a minimal price.
She also offered and arranged for a variety of tours/hikes and transportation.
Laundry could be arranged at a reasonable cost.

Casa Marilyn
We stayed at Casa Marilyn's in Vinales Feb.17 18 &19, 2011.
This is a five star casa all the way. Cleanliness, Bed quality, bathroom, hot water and meals. On top of all this you have a compassionate caring hostess,Marilyn, who speaks fluent English. She acted as our guide on a sight seeing trip. She also saw that I got to a medical clinic for medication for a persistent cough. She took me to her doctor at 8:00pm. After preliminary test she order an X-Ray which showed I had bronchitis. Marilyn took me home and insisted I go to bed. She then went to the pharmacy for antibiotics and antihistamine at a cost of about $1.20. There was no charge for the doctor or the E-ray.( The movie Sicko did not exaggerate ) You certainly will be well taken care of here!

The best casa I stayed in Cuba! I felt like home right from the start!
They serve delicious breakfast and dinner and mojitos, and helpful Marilyn (who speaks perfect english!) arranged a great horseback riding trip just for the 2 of us and a massagist to come and give us massages in our own room after the trip! Absolutely amazing!
Room is beautiful, view is beautiful, food is plenty and delicious, the family is absolutely wonderful and the location is perfect, could not ask for more!!!

How was your room?: The room was clean and beautiful, the best I stayed in Cuba! We had our own bathroom with shower, really clean and new. We had our own fridge in the kitchen and sometimes watched tv in their living room and played in the yard with the kids or had mojitos in the terrace!
How was the food they offer?: Amazing! SO MUCH delicious food for a small price! I would highly recommend to at least ask for a dinner in case the room is booked!
Other services they offer: They can arrange trips, massage, salsa lessons, laundry service...
Other comments: I really loved this place that felt so much like a new home and hope to go back some day!

This casa was the best casa we stayed in Cuba! Its clean, comfortable, beautiful and it has a great view. Marilyn and her family are very warm and hospitable and they made sure we would enjoy our stay!
Marilyn has been living in Vinales her whole life so she knows the place very well. She has many excellent tips and trip suggestions around the area. Marilyn is (also) an excellent cook and prepared us delicious meals every day. One of the things which made us enjoy our stay so much was that casa Marilyn has only one room for rent. That means that youll get the full attention of the family and the cozy terrace is for your use only. We had fantastic time there and learned a lot of cuban lifestyle.

Once you arrive at the Casa you immediatley feel at home with Marilyn,Adel and their two kids. Marilyn's English is extremely good and she can arrange any tours you want to do. Her cooking was excellent and we were never left hungry or thirsty. Located just 10 minutes walk from the centre of town the Casa has a patio which overlooks the stunning Mogotes.
