Casa Ony y Luis, Vinales
My review: This Casa needs a special mention, not only because of it's beautiful setting with a view of the mogotes in Vinales, it's very comfortable rooms (yes, rooms -you get three of them to yourself-bedroom, bathroom, livingroom and front porch), but because of the extreme kindness of the owners, Ony y Luis, who cannot do enough for their guests. Anything you want to organise, from a horse ride to a dance lesson, they will do for you. Plus, Luis is a chef at the Hotel Ermita, and cooks up a feast in his Casa! They have a new roof terrace (2014) and are building 2 more rooms up there, so will soon be able to accomodate more guests. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Vinales.
How was your room?: Two double beds, the most comfortable we had in Cuba.
How was the food they offer?: Huge quantities! Pancakes for breakfast -mmm!

Casa Ony y Luis
My review: Vous serez accueillis par le sourire de Luis (qui prépare de la cuisine internationale à l'hôtel la Ermita), de la discrète Ony et de leurs deux petits garçons Jésus Onel y Jésus Luis. Casa avec intimité dans une rue en terre battue à qq mn à pied du centre, populaire et animée. Les rocking-chairs sur le perron permettent d'observer la vie cubaine passer. Calme la nuit. Parking 1 CUC/nuit au bout de la rue chez la maman.
Confort avec grande douche avec eau chaude (et même savon et échantillons), salon salle à manger privés avec frigo (toujours garni en jus de fruits et assiette de fruits frais, offerts), télé (bref, le luxe!). Pas de moustiquaires aux fenêtres mais climatisation/ventilation. Les ressorts de la literie sont un peu raides (2 lits doubles dans cette petite chambre).
Bons mojitos, copieux dîners, sandwich possible pour journée à la plage. Ony et Luis sont aux petits soins et s'inquiètent de notre bien-être.
Vue magnifique sur les mogotes et les étoiles depuis la 2de terrasse sur le toit où l'on peut manger.

Casa Ony y Luis
My review: Me and my wife stayed at this casa for 5 nights and can say only good things about it. Were having breakfast and dinner which was plentyfull and very tasty. Every breakfast we were getting three differnt types of fresh juice, the breakfast was big, we even had to ask to serve us less as it was simply too much for us.
The family is very warm and hard working, very helpful in anything you ask. Luis gave us a bunch of tips and advices, what and where to visit.
Rooms were very clean and cosy, plenty of space just for us, as there is living room and bedroom, shower, outside terrace. You simply get half of the house just for you.
The house is not far from the center but at the same time away from main streets which makes it very quiet and no probs to get a good nights sleep.
Vinales has a decent cigar shop by the way, where the guy who sells stuff is also making all sorts of fresh cigars you can buy. Very nice in the evening, sitting in the terrace of casa Ony y Luis, with a glass of pure aged rum to puff a cigar you saw being made.
Highly recommended casa!

Casa Ony y Luis
My review: My family (consisting of my husband, one year old baby, our little dog and myself) stayed at this casa for two nights and in that little time, we managed to really connect with this lovely family. Ony and Luis are genuinely nice and hardworking people and their boys so well-behaved and polite.
The casa is only a few minutes walk from the centre of Vinales and the atmosphere in the casa is very peaceful and rural. We spent many hours sitting on the rocking chairs on the porch watching cows, horses and hens pass by on the road infront of the casa, whilst the kids from the neighbourhood played baseball. In our 16 day stay in Cuba, this is definitely the closest we got to living the real Cuba!
Both breakfast and dinner were tasty and generous and Ony & Luis give their guests sole use of the front of their house so we had our own living/dining room with fridge, bedroom and bathroom! All rooms were spotlessly clean and you could tell that much effort had gone into the decorating and furnishing.
All-in-all, a memorably stay at Casa Ony y Luis and would thoroughly recommend, especially for families.
