Casa Silvia
It's seems to us that Casa Silvia is one of the best place to stay in Vinales ... and also in Cuba
Casa style: Quiet, Fantastic hosts, Comfertable, Roomy, Beautiful, Safe
Amenities: TV, Airconditioning, Private bathroom, Laundry service, Balcony, Garden, Ceiling fan
How was your room?: King size bed ( 2) inc AC and ventilator Bathroom with a shower and hot water spray by a mixt tap Hot water also available at the lavabo
The toilets cloth are provided Place free for the cothes to be hanged
How was the food the offer?: Very good, different evry day and up to your choise, inc sea foods if requiered Plates are prepared directly by Silvia The Mojito is one of the best of our trip, especially when prepared by José, the husband.
Other services they offer: Close to down town, but quiet ...

Casa Silvia
We boooked Case Silvia through Casa Cristal who seem to act as a booking agent for other Casa's in the area when the Cristal is full. Casa Silvia is in a great location, in the street where there is a large number of Casa's, behind the main street.
When we got there we were greeted by Silvia's daughter in law, who welcomed us into their home and were made to feel at home. Then throughout the first day we met the rest of the family, including Silvia, who all greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome.
We originally planned to stay for 2 nights, but extended it to 3 when our plans changed, which Silvia was more than happy to accomodate us. This is just a great example of how nice the family was.
We ate there a couple of time, which i would recommend as the food is good and plentiful, and also better than eating out.
The Casa is clean and well decorated, and is currently finishing some removation of the back areas, so will be even better soon. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would recommend to others.

How was your room?: The room was clean and comfortable and looked like it had recently been refurbished. It consisted of 2 beds, slightly smaller than double beds. It had a fan and air conditioning, so the temperature was never an issue. the beds were also comfortable to sleep in, unlike some of the other beds we stayed in on our trip.
The room had a private bathroom, which also was clean and tidy. The showers in Casa's can be a bit hit and miss, but the one here was great with good pressure and temperature.
How was the food the offer?: The food was great. We ate twice at the casa in the evening a breakfast for all 3 days. Its definately the best place to eat in Vinales, as the town does not have too many eating out options.
The food itself was very tasty, although there is a lot of food, typical of most Casa's. So you can be sure that you won't go hungry! We have fish the first day, which was delicious, and chicken the following day. This came with salad, fried banana, rice and black beans, followed by fresh fruit and a sweet (too sweet for me) jelly.
All for the price of 8 CUC's, which is an absolute bargain given the amount of food.
Other services they offer: The family were also able to help out with any trip bookings that you may be interested in making.
Laundry was available.
Other comments: Our hosts, Silvia and her family, were a pleasure to stay with. We were made to feel very welcome, and were greeting every morning by all the family, asking if we had slept well and if there was anything that they could do for us.
Despite our limited Spanish, we managed to converse well with them, and get the best out of our stay.

A really nice place and also very clean. Silvia and Mimo were so friendly and our breakfast and the dinner were of best quality ! We are looking forward to visit this casa again in future for staying there a longer time

Nice and very clean house, hosts very friendly with high hospitality.
Silvia will always make sure you have everything you need, such as good food, beverages and comfort, and her husband, Jose will organize for you anything you want (eg : horse riding). Feel free to ask for Cuban salsa dancers, Silvia has good friends, named Marixa and Mario, they will be delighted to go dancing with you in Vinales.

How was your room?: Very clean, 2 king size beds, private bathroom and toilets. Air conditioning for those of you who need it.
How was the food the offer?: Very good food, Silvia will arrange the meal you want.
Other services they offer: horse riding, Salsa danse, visit.

Thank you for hosting us in your home. We had a great time in the motor scooter touring the countryside and heard fabulous live music each day in the square. Casa Silvia is so close to the bus station, very clean and confort.

Villa Silvia has been a brilliant, friendly place to stay. Our hosts organized lots of stuff for us 2 made sure we had a great time.
