Villa Mery Echavarria y Estelo

My review: I stayed in this clean and nice casa for three days. Mery, Estelo and their family are very friendly people and treat you like a family member. I felt welcome right from the beginning when Estelo picked me up at the Viazul bus stop. He also picked me up, when I got lost one night in the “maze” of Vinales.

The casa is a couple of streets off the main drag and a little quieter, but within five minutes you are at the plaza, where you will find lots of bars and restaurants with music.

How was your room?: They have two rooms to rent, one with two double beds and the other with a double and a single bed. The bathroom has lots of space and is very clean as well. The price for each room is 15 CUC.

How was the food they offer?: The breakfast and dinner is very delicious. Beeing a vegetarian isn`t that easy in Cuba, but Mery made a very yammi meal for me with lots of different vegetarian things. Prices are 3 CUC for breakfast and 5-7 CUC for dinner.
Other services they offer: Sit in one of the rocking chairs out at the porch and watch the sunset with homemade mango juice or a mojito.

I also made a tour to the mountains with a guide who is friends with Mery and Estelo and enjoyed this very much. He speaks English fluently and has a perfect knowledge of the area. Highly recommended!
