Our first impression of the house and the hostess was great. Soon we realized one should not judge by first impression.
We had several problems with this house. The most important was the water - the water was either dripping through the shower head or there was no water at all. When we contacted our landlady and asked her to do something about it, she promised she would and despite her promise did nothing about it. I have to stress that she advertises her lodging as, and I quote, '' agua fria and caliente 24 horas''. I guess we should have asked if the water was RUNNING water or DRIPPING water.
After (once again) drawing our landlady's attention to our problem that has not been solved, she agreed to charge us 25 CUC for one and 20 for another room (it was supposed to be 25 CUC each).
However, when the day of our departure arrived, she served us with a bill completely different of the one we've agreed on (tried to charge us 6 CUC for coffee, and another 5 CUC for one room).
In the end she was not happy with the amount of money we gave her and slammed the door on us (accompanied by swearing and hoping we had an accident on the road). NEVER, EVER STAY HERE!
How was your room?: Rooms were nice and comfortable, with A.C.
How was the food they offer?: The food was the only thing that made me rate this place with 2 stars. It was amazing. However, the landlady made us think we were getting a great deal by paying 8 CUC for dinner (later we learnt it was a usual fee for dinner). Breakfast was OK, but not so good as dinner.

Very nice very cheap house with two spacious private rooms.
We slept in a room with four of us.
My car was parked in the garage.
10 minutes walk from downtown.
Jorge can cook and Neisy made the most delicious desserts
The private pool will be completed in September 2010

Near to the old centre and all the things you have to see. ( 5 minutes walk to the casa de la musica/ the stairs)
Diner is good: appr. 8 CUC p.p.

Nice comfortable room in a small casa in the center of Trinidad owned by a lovely and very helpful elderly couple. Higly recommended !

How was your room?: Comfortable and clean room with an excellent airconditing system, a refrigerator full with drinks and a private bathroom.
How was the food the offer?: Great breakfasts and superb dinners ! The lady of the house is an excellent cook.
Other comments: Very helpful and lovely owners. Alfredo was awaiting us at the busstation of Viazul and accompanied us to his casa. They hava a wonderful baby grandson, Hector, and the place is absolutely safe. Although the house is not too big it is a great place to stay a couple of nights !

Nancy is a very enthusiastic and friendly woman. She has a comfortable clean basic room with private bathroom for hire. There is a 2 and a one person bed, but we heard that 4 persons also have stayed there before.
The house is situated in "downtown" Trinidad, 300m walking from the centre of the town.
Nancy speaks little English (and we stupid tourist little Spanish) but she talks with hands and feet so understanding has not been a problem at all. She is more than willing to help you to have a great stay in Trinidad you just put forward your desires so she can help you realising them.
The gem of the house is the airy patio which is providing a spot for relaxing and enjoying you Cuba Libre after a day on the beach or strolling around in the city.

How was your room?: The room is clean and basic with a newer type of airconditioning (which is quite) and an extra fan. The private is directly connected to the bedroom.
How was the food the offer?: Nancy or her relative is able to cook a very tasteful dinner or a standard breakfast. As everywhere the choice for the "meat" is pork, chicken, gamba's etc.
Certainly recommendable to taste the cooking style at least once.
Other services they offer: Nancy is able to arrange you all kinds of things. Just ask.
We used the laundry service and the bike service of the neighbour accross the street.

Beautiful casa, big room with double beds, beautiful private bathroom. Garden and roof terrace. Very near Parque Cespedes, 10 min walking from Plaza Mayor. Safe parking on the street.
The food was really excellent, big portions and good quality. So was the breakfast, even including yoghurt ans lots od bread.
The place was a bit noisy, due to the very loud TV of the neighbours

They have two rooms available, each with air conditioning, two double beds, bathroom with shower and refrigerator. The food is excellent, well prepared, fresh, plentiful and based on season. The price of 55CUC per couple includes three meals, but no alcoholic beverages or soft drinks. Secure parking is available inside their compound at no charge. It is a quiet neighbourhood, two streets up from the beach.

lovely casa, with a very friendly host. 2 rooms available. very close to the centre of town and the bus station, but also nice and quiet.
we stayed here for 3 nights. there is a nice roof terrace where we had dinner each night.
a small amount of english spoken, but with our small amount of spanish and sign language everythingw orked out just fine. alberto went out of his way to help us arrange laundry and accomodation on our next stop in camaguey - a fantastic host.

How was your room?: The room was downstairs. Clean and tidy. 2 beds (double and a single) and airconditioning (which we didn't use as it was winter). Ensuite bathroom with a good shower.
How was the food the offer?: Food was great. We ate breakfast and dinner here each day during our stay and both were great. The only problem was there was far too much food! my wife battled with an enormous lobster one evening, but i think the lobster got the upper hand/claw.
Other services they offer: We were running out of clean clothes, but we were able to arrange for our laundry to be done here. We were a bit disorganised and didn't give much notice, but even though we were leaving on an early bus, the laundry appeared - fantastic service.
