The idea of the 15 day tour is to get you closer to the Cuban culture through Spanish lessons. You'll be staying with a Cuban family in a casa particular, so you can feel and interact closely the Cuban way of life. The program consists of three excursions and eight mornings of Spanish lessons continued by an activity. You will have three days off to do whatever you like. Every day you will have Spanish lectures, followed by a matching midday activity. Stayingin a casaparticular will invite you to speak the Spanish on a daily basis. You will be immersed into the local Cuban atmosphere, culture and language.
The Spanish lessons consists of eight morning lectures (about. 2.5 hours a day, in total 20 hours). The classes will be given by the teachers through an innovative concept of 'learning by doing'. The material is divided into selected themes that will be covered in class and then put into practice during the midday activity. To give you an example, lesson two's theme is 'The Music of Cuba', after this theme in class, we will visit musicians. Where you'll meet the musicians and practice your fresh just learned Spanish skills. You will get first hand insight information into the Cuban way of life. We will visit local homes, get to know Trinidad, it's surroundings and even better ... its nightlife, and we will also talk to several artists. We strongly believe that mingling with the Cubans who live there, and getting to know their real way of live, reinforces the feeling of interconnectedness, because, to experience the Cuban culture is to feel it. |
