Casa Adrian, Baracoa
My review: Adrian and his family are very warm and welcoming hosts. He responded quickly to my emails (in English!) which was reassuring. The casa is beautiful, covered by flowers and surrounded by tropical plants. My room had its own separate door and terrace, plus there was another terrace on the roof with hammocks and sun-loungers and a garden downstairs. The casa is about 10 minutes walk from the centre but it is a safe and easy walk and I found it nice to be a little bit further out as it feels like a more local neighbourhood. It is close to the Malecon. The breakfasts are wonderful and I could easily have stayed for longer!!! If I go back to Baracoa I will for sure return here.
How was your room?: Spaciois, good bed, good shower, has its own little terrace.
How was the food they offer?: Breakfasts were excellent. I had dinner here one night, I am vegetarian and this was no problem for them - I had possibly the best bean soup of my life :)
Other comments: Adrian is a lovely man with an equally lovely wife. He is fluent in English which I'm sure lots of people will find helpful. He was able to arrange taxis for me easily and no question was ever too much trouble.

Casa Adrian
My review: We stayed at Casa Adrian for 3 nights in March 2015. Adrian was waiting for us at the Viazul terminal which made for a very smooth and enjoyable arrival to Baracoa.
At the Casa, Adrians mum made us an amazing juice while we settled in and our room was the front bottom bedroom. The bed was comfortable, fan and air con worked great and the bathroom was clean and functional, hot water was working well.
We ate a great breakfast every morning (eggs, fruit, juice, coffee etc) and had dinner twice which was delicious.
We also had a large amount of washing done which was a quick and easy process (the weather was good) and was priced well. All meals and drinks we had we also reasonably priced with no surprises.
Adrian is a great help with recommendations for things to do in Baracoa, we are backpackers but were looking for some organised trips to make life easy. Take his advice and go see Roger at Gaviota.
Ariane, Adrians sister looked after everything we needed (water, food, washing etc).
Overall we loved our stay, the family really worked as a team to make sure we had a great stay. We will be back!!
