Casas Havana

My review: Had booked a room for my daughter (12) and I for the first 3 nights in Cuba, before travelling around Cuba.
We ended up extending to 6 days, and we also came back for this lovely Casa for the final 4 nights of our stay in Cuba.
The casa is charming, and the couple - Damaris and Yor - are great. Young, modern people, great English speakers and very resourceful:-)
The feeling is homely, but more like a B&B.

The Casa is very colonial. Its great, nicely renovated, lovely balcony's to enjoy the perfect location right in the heart of Old Havana, very charming!!
The breakfast is nice and typical, unfortunately they don't offer other meals, but you find some amazing restaurents nearby.

We can't wait to be back.

Casas Havana

My review: My partner and I travelled to Havana to stay at this casa from an all inclusive in Varadero and it was truly the best part of our trip! Our hosts Damarais and Yor were welcoming and friendly. Yor speaks great English because he works as a tour guide. Damarais made us feel at home and made us a lovely snack of fried plantains and guacamole. The pair offered advice about Havana when asked but also did not interfere when we mistakenly went out to dinner at La Guardia restaurant which is resting on a reputation from years ago and was NOT very good! The restaurants they recommended were excellent. We cannot wait to return and take our children as well next time!

How was your room?: The room was large and the bathroom was up the stairs. It had a huge set of window/doors that opened out onto a busy street in old Havana. My partner sat for over an hour on the small balcony just watching life go by. There was a fridge in the room and air conditioning.
How was the food they offer?: The food was amazing. Next time we will let Damarais cook us a meal as she is an excellent cook. She was making food for her dogs that seemed gourmet to me!
Other services they offer: Yor connected us with a big old American car to get back to Varadero. He took us on a tour of some sights we had not seen in Havana and then took us to the Hemingway house. This was a highlight of our trip and the happy faces in our photos tell the story of how magical it was. We were grateful that our hosts could customize our trip to our exact specifications since we did not have much time to spend in Havana.
Other comments: The hosts were fabulous and the price is just hard to believe (so inexpensive) for the level of service and surroundings! I would recommend anyone stay at this casa that is right in the heart of old Havana. It is renovated and clean. Our host Damarais clearly takes pride in providing a great stay in her home!

My review: It was my first time to Havana. I had booked 4 night at Case Havana in the old part of Havana. I was very pleased with this room en VERY GOOD services. The people Yor and Damaris are very nice. The room is clean, food is good and they speak good Englisch. Next time i will book again, for sure!!!!!!
