Fantastic location. Good food. Best of all - Cristina and her family. It was special to live with Cristina and get to know her family. All of them made me feel very welcome. We took a genuine interest in each other’s cultures and had interesting discussions. I recommend this casa to anyone who wants to get an authentic local flavour of Habana.
How was your room?: Good
How was the food they offer?: Good
Other services they offer: Local information. Arranging out station taxis.

Location, on Luz close to the water and the Plaza Vieja. Building, old type but rooms are renovated with fan and aircon, private bathroom attached and a nice little balcony on the street. This is in a family home so expect to get to know the family. OK yes it is noisy and intense, it is right in the middle of the old town so what do you expect? This is gritty Habana Vieja at its best, expect to hear people yelling and selling in the street below in the evenings. Cristina and her family were welcoming but not intrusive, happy to answer stupid questions. Price included breakfast for two, not an added charge here and breakfasts were more than enough, coffee seasonal fruit juice, fruit, yogurt drink, bread rolls with butter and local jam and I was even offered Marmite! Eggs were also possible but could barely eat what was offered as it was. Now if you want quiet luxury, don't stay in Habana Vieja, but if you want cheap and clean and right in the middle of stuff, this is a really good place.
How was your room?: Clean and functional, private bathroom (with soap and toilet paper), fan and aircon and use of a balcony over the street.
How was the food they offer?: Really tried to eat all of it but more than I am used to, fresh fruit and excellent coffee gave a nice start to the day.
