Just a few meters away are El Capitolio, The Havana Grand Theatre and Inglaterra Hotel, while in another direction, towards the sea, you can find the Cathedral Square, the city harbour and its Malecon, a place of charming views where couples talk about love, enjoy the views and mingle with friends. Casa La Ventilada is on a second floor. It has an extensive balcony, from which you can see the daily life of Havana. On the roof, there is a terrace, appropriate for the enjoyment of a good cuban coffee or reading of a book. The rooms are professionally and rigorously furnished. Each has a bathroom and all the necessary comfort.

Casa La Ventilada

My review: When we arrived in Havana we were warmly welcomed by Carmen and Ariel, and when we returned 6 weeks later we felt we were “coming home again”. The apartment is in the centre of Old Havana, a wonderful location to really experience the street life of Havana, and within easy walking distance of many tourist sites. The apartment is delightfully furnished, with a comfortable lounge room, and a great terrace from which to watch life on the street. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and we ate most meals at the Casa because Ariel is a wonderful cook. We asked Carmen and Ariel to eat dinner with us each night and this led to long conversations and stories of life in Cuba. Carmen and Ariel willingly helped us whenever we had a problem or needed information. Nothing was too much trouble. They were wonderful hosts and treated us like family. This is a great place to experience the warmth of Cuban hospitality.
