Mylena and Otto offer a casa particular on the third floor, a comfortable two double bedroom apartment with lovely views over Havana Vedado from a large terrace. For an additional reasonable price Mylena and Otto offer you a healthy breakfast, laundry service, Internet connection and a secure parking place. Otto speaks fluent English and will be happy at anytime to provide you with information and support for all you need to make your vacation in Cuba the best ever.

The casa particular has 2 double bedrooms sharing a bathroom with 24 hours a day hot and cold water, living room, dining room and functional kitchen. The spacious air conditioned bedrooms have a kingsize bed, desk, wardrobe, TV, fan and a fridge. One of the bedrooms have direct access to a large terrace with a fantastic view over Havana Vedado, Havana Miramar and the sea. The whole casa is cleaned on daily base, towels and linen are provided and changed regularly. The bedrooms can be rented separately or as a whole.

How did you make the reservation?: The casa directly

How much did you pay per night?: 36 CUC

We loved "Private rooms Otto y Mylena" and staying in the Vedado neighbourhood. We were encouraged by the excellent reviews at Airbnb and TripAdvisor but the experience itself exceeded our expectations. We booked for 5 nights, but stayed for 11. It was that good! The breakfast on the balcony every morning was a highlight, and we spent many evenings on the balcony enjoying the sunsets and the cool evening breezes. The hospitality was amazing, and it's not surprising that Otto and Mylena received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2017.

How was your room?: Excellent, roomy and comfortable with direct access to the balcony.

How was the food they offer?: Breakfast: fresh, plentiful and delicious. Other services they offer: Tourist advice on what to see, where to eat, and how to get around. An informative pamphlet on nearby services and amenities. Booking of casa particular accommodation and shared taxi to other provinces. Answering our many questions about Cuba.

Other comments: Highly recommended. I'll be telling all my friends to look no further when booking accommodation in Havana.

My review: Great area - wonderful, friendly, helpful hosts. Vedado is the best place to stay in Havana, away from the frenetic tourism of the old town, but near enough to visit it. Great colonial architecture, plenty of restaurants and bars, music and culture. Otto's English is really good, he and Mylena recommended good places to visit and to eat. Mylena helped us out by arranging our next accommodation when we decided to stay on a few days in Havana. The food is excellent - fruits of all kinds, breads, eggs as you like them and fantastic coffee. If I go back to Havana I would not hestitate to stay with them again.
How was your room?: Clean, spacious and air conditioned.
How was the food they offer?: Great breakfast - fruits, breads, eggs and as much excellent coffee as you want.
Other services they offer: Recommendations for visits, restaurants, bars, music etc

Casa Mylena y Otto

My review: I've traveled to Cuba on two occasions and both times I made sure to stay with Mylena and Otto when visiting Havana.
The first time I booked with them, it was because of the great reviews I read about them on other websites. I can confirm that they were right.
Mylena and Otto are wonderful people and true ambassadors for their city. They are English-speaking, friendly, helpful and sincerely want their guests to have the best possible stay in Havana. The apartment is perfect - clean, safe and central to the many things to see in the city. It is located in the Vedado district, a beautiful mansion-filled neighbourhood reminiscent of the old splendor of the city. I'd argue that Vedado is the true center of Havana as it is situated between many of the cultural attractions outside of the tourist-dominated district of La Habana Viejo (or Old Havana which you can still visit in a 25 minute walk or inexpensive taxi ride).
I plan to visit Cuba again and when I do, I will also look forward to staying my friends Mylena and Otto. I recommend you do the same!

How was your room?: Bright and spacious. It opened out to a wonderful balcony and view of Havana and even a glimpse of the ocean. The sunsets were awesome.
How was the food they offer?: Delicious and generous breakfast with eggs, bread, fresh fruit and coffee.
Other services they offer: Travel advice around the city and to major tourist attractions, a map and guide of Havana, booking to major tourist destinations around the country as well as local restaurants and taxi services, access to an ensuite refrigerator, local phone calls and car parking
They can even organize a tour of the city with a trusted taxi driver who once lived in the U.S. and speaks fluent English!
