Hostal Mayito
My review: This is definitely a 5 star casa from the room to the food to the hosts. The whole house is beautifully decorated, very clean and tidy and both guest rooms are on the top floor with private balcony and roof terrace.
Mayito speaks very good English and is an excellent and very lively host....full of stories and boundless energy! Noraida, his wife, is a great cook and makes a fantastic pina colada. In fact, drinks flow very readily at Hostal Mayito and Mayito loves to give lessons in making the perfect mojito!
Mayito is clearly a well known figue in this tiny community and seems to know everyone and everything. A very entertaining host.
Highly recommended.

How was your room?: Modern, beautifully clean, very comfortable with nice touches like the towels folded into swans on the bed. Lovely.
How was the food they offer?: Really excellent food. Lots of choice and beautifully cooked and presented.

Casa Hostal Mayito
My review: For our three weeks traveling Cuba this was our favourite casa we stayed in. Mayito and his family made us feel right at home, and welcomed us so graciously. The room was perfect, the food was fantastic, and Mayito and his family were so helpful. They helped book us a hike tour of some snorkeling spots and a bat cave with a very knowledgeable guide (who happened to be their son!). Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. This is one casa I could come back to and stay at least a week. There was so much to see and do in the area, and we felt like part of the family staying with Mayito.

How was your room?: Our room was perfect! A queen size bed with the possibility of two pull down single beds if you had kids. Attached was a private bathroom with a sink, toilet & shower. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Also had A/C, fan, and two windows. There was also a patio where we at our meals and could relax with a rooftop view of the ocean and town. Honestly the best casa!!
How was the food they offer?: The food was great. Some of the best we had in all of Cuba, and plentiful! They even offered to make my husband and I separate dinners if we wished. The food varied day to day, which was a nice treat. I can only say good things about this casa!
Other services they offer: We took them up on laundry service, which was excellent. They also helped us to hire a tour guide for a hike. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and it was the best tour we had in Cuba.
Other comments: If you are looking for the perfect place to stay in Cuba, look no further! This is it! A very big thanks to Mayito & his family for making this part of our trip so special!

Hostal Mayito
My review: This house is the warmest, most friendly house Ive visited in Cuba. It is a home, not just a house, and its right on the beach. The hostess, Mayito and Noraida, is always smiling, positive and extremaly helpful. Its got a fantastic wiew, and the host is happily guiding tourist to all kinds of activity in the area. The rooms are comfortable, and got separate entrance and nice bathrooms.I look forward to visit this house and family again!

How was your room?: Nice, clean bedrooms with functional aircondition, and big, nice bathrooms.
How was the food they offer?: Fantastic food, and more than plenty.
Other services they offer: They have internet in house that tourist can use, and they can handle your laundry. They also guide tourist to the best experiences of the area, like museums, snorkling, fishing amoung others.
Other comments: This is the best choice possible made for casa particulare in Cuba. I have travelled around Cuba for 6 weeks, and this is definatly THE place to go.

My review: Our stay in this hostal was an excellent one. Mayito and Noraida are very welcoming and gracious. They go out of their way to make you feel at home and comfortable. If you have any special requests, Mayito and Noraida are sure to try and make it happen. If you prefer a guide for a tour of the beautiful local scenery, Mayito will arrange for one to come directly to the house. The food is excellent, the atmosphere romantic, and the view is spectacular. Two rooms with double beds are available and each contain a fan and air conditioning as well as a private bathroom. I would rate this casa particulares as an excellent choice.

Hostal Mayito
Hostal Mayito was amazing. Great food, wonderful and generous hosts, and solid accommodations. Air conditioned rooms, clean bathrooms, and a lovely place to have the great meals they made for us.

Hostal Mayito
We stayed at around 10 Casas during our trip to Cuba (Jan/Feb 2011) and this was probably the best overall. Great friendly hosts (but not over the top), very good food, good and new beds, tasteful decoration and very helpful (they called ahead to the Jaguey Bus stop to make sure we got a seat on the bus).
