Hostal Deborah y Jose

My review: Jose and Deborah are super friendly young professionals (accountant and lawyer) who have recently remodeled their colonial home into a casa particular. So far they have 2 rooms with another on the way. They have beautiful taste (simple and classic -no trinkets) and the rooms are comfortable and spotless. We had breakfast which was excellent and generous. The rooms are ground floor facing a courtyard. Yard in back has a gigantic mango tree. The location was perfect, a five minute walk to city center, just far enough to avoid the crowds and noise. Jose arranged private parking for our car a block away. He can also arrange Salsa lessons nearby.

How was your room?: spacious, clean, unusually tasteful with nice art and intentionally exposed areas of brickwork to show off the age and underlying structure.

How was the food they offer?: good. The usual overly generous offering of fruit, juice, coffee, eggs, bocadillos etc.

Other services they offer: Jose offered to set us up with salsa classes, but we couldn't fit it in.
Nearby private and secure parking available.

Other comments: The hosts were super attentive and solicitous.
