Casa Elda y Roberto
My review: We had a really enjoyable stay at Elda and Roberto's casa. Our room was at the back. Not only was it very nicely situated but also very quiet, a godsend given that we were staying during one of Trinidad's music festivals. Elda and Roberto's daughter, Mercedes, is running the casa. Even though she was working as a doctor she found time to help us with our many enquiries. Arasalysis made us delicious breakfasts, did our laundry and even provided us with sandwiches for our forward journey to Vinales. She was always smiling and had a very contagious laugh. Even if not now heavily involved in the running of the casa, Mercedes mother is lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. We would highly recommend this casa.
How was your room?: Comfortable and clean.
How was the food they offer?: Breakfasts were delicious - fresh fruit, juice, eggs, bread, honey etc - and always served with a smile. We did not eat dinner at this casa.
Other services they offer: Laundry - wonderful!

My review: Perfecto!
This casa really has everything you could wish for. They are a very friendly family, happy to chat and tell you things or leave you in peace. It is a really beautiful house, lovingly maintained - we stayed in the original house but Mercedes told us she has rooms in the new part, hidden away behind the garden. Our rooms were very comfortable and we loved the patio garden with rocking chairs and ferns. Location could not be better, just round the corner from the central square but far enough to be quiet at night. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed every minute.
Casa specifics: English speaking, Quiet, Fantastic hosts, Elegant, Comfortable, Colonial, Roomy, Beautiful, Safe, Garden
Amenities: Private bathroom, Garden, Ceiling fan, Breakfast service, Dinner service
How was your room?: Enormous and very comfortable, fans and very high ceilings kept it cool.
How was the food they offer?: Tasty breakfast, plenty to eat. We only ate in once because there is so much choice in Trinidad, but the food was good.
Other services they offer: Eddy has a beautiful car from 1959 but unlike many, in perfect condition! He can take you on various local trips, or just to the beach.
They did laundry for us and arranged a salsa class.
Other comments: Thank you to Mercedes son Saul for showing our son some of the night life!
