What an amazing find! Great location...only 4 km from the nightlife (taxi fare is cheap), stroll down to the beach or walk a bit further along the shoreline to find any number of other Sandy spots to snorkel around. Safe area, any time of the day or night.
How was your room?: Our room was spacious, clean, quiet, and safe with an adjoining ensuite and choice of patio or garden oasis to relax in. In room fridge stocked with water, cervesa, wine and even rum. Choice of fan or air conditioner to keep you cool. Ensuite was a perfect size, large shower with raindrop shower head and lots of hot water.
How was the food they offer?: Food was some of the very best we had in Cuba. Tasty, fresh, nourishing and creatively prepared. We had a great selection to choose from and portions were often too large for us to possibly eat. Juices made from their own organic mangos and food prepared using home grown organic herbs.
Other services they offer: We were offered breakfasts and dinners for reasonable cost in addition to bicycles that we could rent. Whenever we wanted to do or see something special we could rely on our hosts to arrange for transportation and great advice on what to watch for. English-speaking Coaching in Spanish to help Bar services. ..be sure to have a mojito made using fresh organic mint!!!
Other comments: We were made to feel so special and spoiled that we booked extra time at Bocamar. We highly recommend staying here....come for the adventure, stay for the people!

The Casa has two rooms. The larger room has two double beds and 3 fans but no air-conditioning. The room is very large has a private entrance a large fridge, and a large bathroom. The back door of the room opens out on to the terrace where meals are served and a beautiful and natural back yard. The second room was smaller and had air-conditioning and a private entrance but I did not see if it had access to the backyard. The backyard is paradise (the nicest yard we saw in all the Casa’s we stayed at during our 6 week trip). It is full of fruit trees (Limon, Banana, Mango and Almond). Gardens with mint and other herbs. Chickens running around and all sorts of birds. They have a large shady area provided by a trellised overhead covering of passion fruit vines with 2 comfortable rocking chairs. where we spent lots of time reading and just hanging out. The beach is just a 2 block walk, but we found the perfect semi private spot just another block or two up the road. Go to the very large tree in the empty lot. Walk through the lot and you will see a large flat platform for your beach towels or chairs and right below that is a beautiful swimming area. This is where the locals go and a good tip for Cuba Junky customers. We stayed for 3 nights and ate all our meals here. Olga is a good cook. I recommend the fish. This is a fishing village, we had fresh red snapper and it was excellent. Miguel the son in law answers both the phone and emails and speaks perfect English. He is also a taxi driver, so he picked us up in Ancon and brought us to the Casa and as this was our last Casa stay before flying home we also hired him to drive us to Santa Clara airport. His excellent English and knowledge of the area made him an excellent tour guide.

My review: We stayed in Trinidad but I wish we had stayed a few nights in Casa La Boca. It's large with 2 big beds and a full size fridge. The bathroom has a big counter. There is a patio out front and covered eating area in a huge back yard. The beach is a short walk away, a little bay with hardly anyone using it. The water is crystal clear and very sheltered and calm. I preferred it to Playa Ancon where people hassle you, charging for beach chairs and there is seaweed and huge waves. I hear Olga is a great cook so I'd recommend you eat your meals at the Casa. The son in law speaks perfect English and drove us around in his taxi for 4 days - he really made our trip.
How was the food they offer?: I hear it's fabulous - wish I'd tried it
Other services they offer: The son-in-law drives a taxi and speaks perfect English. He's fabulous to take you around (took us fishing, to meet coffee growers etc etc).
Other comments: I really liked La Boca beach for a quiet place to lay on the beach and swim.
