Casa Sol y Mar is located right by the sea and it is one of the most beautiful houses in La Boca. The wide porches of Sol y Mar are ideal to talk, read, or simply relax and see the daily Cuban life passing by. All the doors and windows are protected against insects. In the basement, there is a shower to clean salt water from the sea and where you can do your laundry. The Casa Particular is rent two bedrooms with one private bathroom. One bedroom has a beautiful seaview and the other a view to the garden. The rooms have queensize beds. There is also a possibility to provide an additional bed for a child for a small extra fee. Guests have access to dining and living room, patio and terrace.
The very helpful owners speak English.

My review about: Myself and my partner had the absolute pleasure of staying 5 nights at Sol y Mar.
In fact within an hour of arriving, we changed our plans and decided to remain there for an additional 2 nights as the peace, tranquility, location ..and the hammock, won us over immediately.

If you are looking to stay in La Boca.. look no further. There was a respectful, warm and charming hospitality from Joaquin and Olga that we found nowhere else.

Some splendid snorkelling about 2 km up the coastal road, amazing small beaches beyond that and Trinidad a short taxi ride (or if you are lucky, local bus ride away).

Seriously enjoyed my stay here. Spotlessly clean, good food, and such lovely people...plus the best fridge stocked up with cold drinks..you keep a tab and believe me, the patio, a beer and sitting still, waiting for the hummingbird to delight ..well worth it.

Beautiful gardens and an outdoor shower too.

Whilst we were there a new front wall was painted with pride. So the photos you see on the app are out dated... I've uploaded some we took.

How was your room?: Our room was at the front of the casa, with two windows, one looking to the sea and the other to the mountains. Comfortable, spacious, great shower.

How was the food they offer?: Breakfast was great. Homemade yoghurt, and various other tasties we had not had before.
Evening meal was along the lines of most Casas..but good none the less. Trinidad is so close we mixed and matched eating at home and out.

Other services they offer: Bike rental
They arranged a taxi, at a super rate, from the casa direct to Havana airport...fantastic trip, in an amazing car that had been lovingly restored.

Casa Sol y Mar

My review: A lovely Casa opposite the beach in a nice little village. Not great for swimming but great to watch local youth gather over the weekend! Easy taxi ride away from Trinidad.

How was your room?: Comfortable

How was the food they offer?: Very good

Other services they offer: Not sure. Arranged taxi to Trinidad

Other comments: More expensive than any of the other casa's we stayed in: CUC 25 instead of CUC 20. Same for the meals.
