We have two beautiful terraces / patios that are traveler favorites and yours to enjoy. Outdoor dining on our terrace is a highlight. Guests have access through a main front entry to their private room with private bathroom.

We have a total of four rooms for rent.
Two on the upper floor with terrace overlooking el caribe thru the tree tops and two on the main floor where there is a large terrace with chairs and hammocks.
Three of the rooms have 1 double bed and 1 room on the second floor has two double beds.

Villa Rio y Mar, La Boca, Cuba

My review: This casa particular is situated next to the river which flows into the sea at La Boca. One of the neighbouring building forms the local fishing cooperative - hence: there is a high probability of fresh fish (on explicit demand).
AND: if you have got to direct a taxi driver: tell him: next the 'Cooperativa de Pescadores'.
The place is a bit away from main street, so it's pretty quiet concerning traffic noise. The two hosts Nestor & Odalys (?) are cheerful folks that will happily feast & fatten you on breakfast, lunch and dinner, if possible. The more you order, the more liked you will be.
Beer, water & soft drinks will gladly be provided. If demanded, there will be arranged for a rental bike - don't expect racing bikes.
We don't know if one of them really speaks English, but Nestor seems to be a seasoned traveller. Allegedly he spent some time in Cold War Europe.

Casa specifics: Quiet, Fantastic hosts, Cozy, No frills, Beautiful, Garden, Pets in the house

How was your room?: Rooms are Cuban Casa Particular standard. A/C. Private Bathrooms. No frills.
How was the food they offer?: Odalys is not Cuba's worst chef at all. Not at all. As we could eye-witness, preparing the meals seems to be more of a family event.
Summary: Ask for FRESH fish, unless u are willing to accept the Cuban average deep-frozen fare at the same rate. It's only a few steps for Odalys to walk, but she seems to be a bit unwilling to fetch fresh merchandise instead.
Other comments: We spent five nights at this place. Our longest stay at one casa particular. Cause we simply liked the place so much
