Fantastic , safe and peaceful hostel with a young family ready to offer good service and show about one of the most beautiful and natural places in Cuba,Viñales.
Clean, friendly, good price, bilingual, great service and knows a lot about the area and can organize daytrips etc.
The whole family made you feel like you were part of the family, they are all very warm and welcoming people and nothing was too much.
I have to mention the food, it was fantastic, we couldn't have asked for any more from everyone, this is the way hospitality should be. Top drawer really really impressive.
Friendly family who really care about ensuring their guests have a good time and who are very proactive at driving their business forward, whle still being customer focused. This casa is more than a place to sleep. Any & Francisco are always ready to help their guests. They advise us for all thing we can do around Vinãles. Any prepares food as a queen ! All meals were wonderful. The bedroom is very quiet, large and well equiped.
Sincerely, if we can coming back in Cuba, we will certainly return to Villa Cristal.

Very good Casa; The casa allways improve; Any and Francisco (and the others, Boullo...) are very friendly; The are speaking very good English; The give you a feeling as you are at home; They realy care abbout ther guests; This was so when we visited them in 2007, now, november 2010 it was even better.
We visitted Cuba five times, we stayed in severall casa's. Some of them were also very good, but Villa Cristal, Any and Francisco belong on the first place.

The hosts Francisco and Any are delightful. They are so hospitable it is unbelievable - home from home!! They have thought of everything in the casa even down to sun hats and umbrellas and tha casa is s clean and comfortable with air con, plenty hot water and a TV (although why you would waste time watching TV when there is so much to to do!! I have no idea!). The casa is in a beautiful garden and soon it will have its own pool - how good is that!! Fresh fruit in the morning and a lot of choice for dinner. We loved it and will be going back as soon as we can!!
The casa is very clean, equipped with many facilities and the food is excellent. The family is very friendly and are willing to help with all kinds of request. My next time in Vinales, I'll definitely stay there again!
After traveling across cuba 23 times since 1999, I have visited nearly every corner of Cuba. From the peninsula at Guanahacabibes, to the Isle of Youth, to Baracoa, Cayo Saetia and Cabo Cruz, I have had the pleasure of meeting countless Cuban families as they welcomed me into their homes. Having said that, no one, repeat, no one, can compare to the amenities and overall quality of Villa La Cristal. Truth be told, the physical property is only a part of the equation. The level of service, local knowledge and general feel of Villa Cristal is untouchable. Quite simply, it is the best Casa Particular this Cuba Junky has ever seen, and after 23 trips, I've seen a lot.
Very nice and friendly family. Hospitality, very good food, good talks, help with choosing nice things in the neighbourhood, welcome drink. Conclusion: the very best casa!

The Villa Crystal was extremely comfortable, the hosts were very accomodating (they even helped me get back all of my valuable that I had accidentally left in their safe), they were very knowledgeable about the area and helped me arrange tours, and their breakfasts and dinners were very tasty.
Ani y Francisco and family are the best kind of people and both my husband and I loved meeting and getting to know them. Great accommodations too! When we were in Cuba, staying with them was by far the best part of our trip. When we travel to Cuba again, we'll be certain to arrange our travel plans according to their availability, because staying with them is a must. They deserve to win -- they go above and beyond!
Before my trip to Cuba I reviewed alot of hotels and casa's to ensure my trip was as pleasurable and comfortable as possible. I stayed in some of the top rated hotels in the country and nowhere offered more comfort or amenities than Villa Cristal. Francisco has literally thought of everything and what a great guy he is! The rest of the family are just as nice and Ani is a great cook... the food was second to none of all the places I stayed with great prices!
Vinales itself is set in the most enviable of surroundings and offers a real view into real Cuban life away from the hustle and bustle of Havana within the valleys of limestone and tobacco fields.
I truly felt relaxed and extremely well looked after whilst also being able to seclude oneself within the villa when required. The valley has plenty to offer in terms of activities throughout the day which can all be arranged through Francisco or Ani, whilst at night the bar in the centre (5 mins walk) offers great mojitos and great live acts where you can party til the early hours!
Viinales is truly a gem within Cuba not to be missed, made easily accessible by the Viazul service and made most comfortable by Villa Cristal.
I will most certainly return someday...
Very friendly family, warm welcome. Spacious private bungalow with everything included: good beds, private bathroom, private terrace. Even TV + DVD + fridge/mini-bar. They even thought about private umbrella's!! Owner of the casa really wants you to have a perfect time in Vinales, without too much self-interest. Almost perfect English spoken an d owner is now studying French. Very reliable family. Good food as well.

I returned from my first visit to Cuba only a week ago. In addition to staying at Villa Cristal in Vinales, I stayed at Casa Particulars in Havana, Cinfuegos, Trinidad, Sancti Spiritus, and Remedios. Each was lovely in it's own way. But the features available at Villa Cristal combined the best of each of the others!
A great location, off the main street but only a couple of blocks from the main square, the Infotur office, bus stop, and grocery.
Comfortable, private accomodation in a new, modern cottage. Amenities include two very comfortable double beds, a TV and DVD player with a small library of DVDs,a very clean an well appointed bath (even a blow dryer!!), an automatic mosquito-deterring device, and a shaded porch and sunny patio with ample seating,.
Delicious meals served in an enclosed sunroom.
Extremely pleasant and helpful hosts who are fluent in English, and willing to put up with my very-beginner Spanish. Francisco even found a drum master to teach a couple of private conga lessons!
The people are very helpful, you can talk also in English with them and they give you the feeling that you are part of their family. Any, the woman of the house, can cook very nice meals.
Francisco, the man of the house, work every day but when he came home he has always time to talk with the quests.
The separate house, where the quests are staying, is very clean. They have a television, air-conditioning and a own bathroom with shower and toilet.

Staying in Vinales at Villa Cristal was the highlight of our 2 weeks in Cuba. Francisco and Any couldn't be more friendly, welcoming and helpful. You get your own little building in their garden which is clean and comfortable and everything you need. The appartment at Villa Cristal is like your own little home separate from the main house with television/dvd player. In the appartment are dvd-movies, books, etc.
The owners, Any and Francisco are very kind and the cooking of Any is delicious.

This was without a doubt the best Casa Particular we stayed in out of a total of 8 during our 1 month stay this summer. The owners, Any and Francisco, were extremely hospitable, friendly, helpful - and the food was amazing! The advantage of staying there was that the room was detached from the main house, giving us privacy, but we still felt very much at home. There was a great family feel with the children running around and other family members often dropping by to have a chat in the rocking chairs. Even though Vinales isn't the largest place, the location was great for walking to all of the main attractions, and it has to be said that the landscape is fantastic. Finally, both Any and Francisco speak fluent English, which was particularly helpful for us as our Spanish is quite limited! All in all, an unforgettable stay and a great memory we have of Cuba~
They have built a separate dwelling for the guests to stay, so everything is new. They added some very thoughtful touches, such as a wall mounted soap dispenser, a fridge, TV with a DVD player, a small library of books and movies -- it felt very warm and welcoming. A small pool was being built when we were there (3 weeks ago) for guests to cool off in during hot weather. Ther food menu was excellent and delicious. But the best part was the hosts -- they spoke excellent english, both work in the tourism industry. They were so friendly I could have mistaken them for lost relatives. We visited 6 cities during our trip, and this casa was by far the best.
A gorgeous self-contained room in the back garden. There was a lovely atmosphere here with a very friendly family. They were very helpful in organising all of our day trips. The casa is on a quiet street but very close to all amenities. Best shower in Cuba, and fabulous food!

Fransisco and Any are absolutely wonderful so kind and welcoming like old friends from the moment you meet them. They have added wonderful, thoughtful touches to the casa like umbrellas and sun hats and the casa is so clean and comfortable set in the most gorgeous garden full of flowers with a nice area to sir out and relax. It will only get better with the small pool they are planning. Food is great and Francisco helped us organise horse riding on well looked after horses and a great trip to the beach,. We cannot wait to go back!!

Our 6 nights at Villa Cristal were the highlight of our 3 week visit to Cuba. We stayed in 5 other casas during our visit, but Villa Christal exceeded our expectations in every way. The guest room is in a new building behind the main house, so it felt very private. It has a beautiful tiled bathroom with modern fixtures, including nice little touches like a wall mounted soap dispenser. The owners are exceptional, making us feel like family as soon as we met them. Very friendly! They speak excellent English, and were especially helpful in arranging daily excursions, drum lessons, and stays in other casas for the remainder of our trip. Next time we visit Cuba, we will be spending our entire vacation here (and we enjoyed every part of Cuba we visited)!!

How was your room?: The room was excellent. It had two double beds and a private bath with hot water. The refrigerator was well stocked with juice, beer and water. The beds were very comfortable. The TV with a DVD player and a selection of movies was nice to have on one cold night. The room was spotless, and was cleaned daily. Being in a separate dwelling from the main house, it felt very private.
How was the food they offer?: We didn't eat everything offered on their menu, but everything we did order was absolutely delicious. And there was always more than you could eat.
Other services they offer: Both owners work in the tourist industry, so they are very helpful with organizing any activities you wish to pursue. Their English was a blessing.
Other comments: I can say with certainty that without all of the help we received from the owners with regard to organizing our excursions, activities and accomodation in other casas after leaving Vinales, that our trip would not have been so exceptional. This is a beautiful casa, and the family are so enjoyable and welcoming. We can't wait to go back!

Villa Cristal is a very friendly and homely casa. The best we stayed in on our trip to Cuba. Yousi is a very friendly, happy and helpful lady and a great cook. Yousi took care of us on our first night in Villa Cristal as Francisco and Anita were away. The room is self contained out the back with all the amenities that you need including a fridge (which was stocked daily), dvd's and books and the nicest shower in Cuba! This casa was very helpful for all the trips that we took Thanks Michael. We had great conversations with bullo considering we had no Spanish, he is a great character.
We were made to feel at home and welcomed in the Villa Cristal. Highly recommend this Casa to anyone travelling to Vinales

Villa Cristal
This casa is a little gem. We booked on the basis that it was no.1 on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. The room is self-contained in the back garden and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The fridge was restocked every day (we went through lots of beer!), two double beds, DVD, books, and a great shower! Francisco was away our first day but he had made sure that another friend (Micheal, many thanks) would call to help us book our trips etc. Yusi is never without a smile on her face and made us lovely meals.
The whole family are very welcoming and I'm so glad we got the chance to stay in this lovely casa. If I ever get the chance to return to Cuba, Vinales and Villa Cristal will be top of my list!

We had an excellent stay at Villa Christal. The young family steals our hearts and we field like home.
Anita & Francisco are very warm and gracious hosts, willing to help in any way that they can. Francisco likes to talk with his guests and it was special to practice our Spanish with him.
Our visit to Casa Valle Cristal was very comfortable and relaxing.
We loved Vinaless. We have travelled a lot in Cuba (3.000 Km) and it was one of the most beautiful places we have been to.

Casa Villa Cristal
I spent 3 lovely days at Casa Villa Cristal. Ana & Francisco are very warm and gracious hosts, willing to help in any way that they can. Ana puts together some nice meals, they offer breakfast and dinner. Francisco works for Cubanacan (Cuban travel agency), he made the arrangements for my accommodations at my next destination & arranged a tour of a farm.
The casa is wonderful, it is not in the main house. It is a self contained guesthouse in the back garden with it's own bathroom. The guesthouse is nicely finished, all the plumbing works as it is supposed to, the air conditioning is quiet & efficient, there is also a safe for your valuables. There is a mini fridge stocked with beer, wine & bottled water, Beer 1.50 cuc, 1.5 litre bottled water 1.5 cuc, very reasonable.
My visit to Casa Valle Cristal was very comfortable and relaxing.

Villa Cristal
Definitely the highlight of our stay! Franscisco and Any made us feel so welcome, and the food was delicious! The room, or bungalow, was very comfortable with a fridge, tv, dvd player and selection of books and dvds. They really made our stay in Vinales memorable and were very helpful in organising excursions and recommending other Casas. Thank you Villa Cristal.

Villa Cristal
Francisco and Any have a beautiful casa. The room is in a separate building in the attractive garden. The facilities are first rate. The casa is very central in the village but also in a quiet street. Francisco and Any both work in the tourism in the village and have excellent English. They are able to arrange all the day trips from the village. The family is very friendly, delightful company. Lucky you if you have are able to get a booking at Villa Cristal. An excellent casa.

Other services they offer: They can arrange at short notice any booking for day trips near the village and to the beach resorts. This is a big advantage.
Other comments: Francisco and Any speak excellent English and they have a charming family.

Freundliche Gastgeber, eine saubere, komfortable Unterkunft in bester Lage in einem separaten "Gartenhäuschen" und sehr gutes Essen erwarten einen in der Villa Cristal. Francisco und Ani sind nicht nur sehr zuverlässig, sondern auch hilfsbereit und Organisationstalente. Note 1! Absolut empfehlenswert!!!!

We arrived in Vinales Valley towards the end of our Cuban road trip. Having stayed at a reasonably wide array of hotels and casas, Villa Crystal came as an undoubted highlight. The guest suite ensures total relaxation and privacy, while there're plenty of opportunities to mingle with the family if you wish. The young owners, Fransisco and Any, both work in the travel industry, hence are well-placed to give all sorts of tips you might need. Their professionalism and thoughtfulness is reflected in every detail of the guest suite - the well-selected stack of DVDs, their Cuban Music GIft CD, and the Guest Guide packed with useful information, all of this put a big smile on our face. And that was before we tasted their food! Any is an amazing cook, every meal we had at the Villa felt like a real feast. The problem one often encounters at smaller cities - especially when staying at well-catered Casas - that lunch out in town can be a real hazard, was simply solved when we walked back to the Casa (a short stroll from the main square) and had a lovely ham-and-cheese sandwich lunch that Any prepared. Oh, and did I mention that our Welcome Snack was freshly picked bananas from Grandpa's kitchen garden, just behind the guest suite? Count yourself very lucky indeed if they have a space, and enjoy everything the Valley has to offer!

Other comments: Look no further if they have vacancies - and count yourself very lucky!

Casa Villa Cristal
Actually, I didn't even have a chance to stay at Villa Cristal because it was fully booked when I visited Vinales. However, I wanted to write a review anyway because of the amazing, friendly, helpful service Any & Franciso gave me!
When I requested the dates I was in Vinales Any responded and told me they were full. She then helped me organize another Casa (which was lovely; I will review it separately). Then she helped my family and I organize horse-riding and a trip to Cayo Jutias, all by email, before we arrived, when we weren't even staying at her Casa! We exchanged no less than 10 emails. From her emails, Any's english seems excellent. I can only imagine how great the Casa would be with service like that for someone who isn't even a guest. Vinales was wonderful and I regret that we did not seek out Any & Francisco and thank them in person, but we had a wonderful time and I think it would be a great Casa to stay at. Thanks Any & Francisco!

Prior to our arrival in Vinales, I contacted Villa Cristal to make a reservation as I had seen so many great reviews, but they were fully booked. In spite of this, Francisco made the time and effort to suggest other options, as well as offered information on places of interest and tours available in Vinales.
Meeting Francisco and Any felt like meeting old friends. They are warm, helpful and very hospitable, and visitors to their home would be well cared for!!
Francisco & Any are true Ambassadors of hospitality.

We stayed for four days at Villa Crystal and we had a great time. Francisco and Any are very nice people who will do anything to make you feel comfortable.You will have your own private bungalow in the backyard,airco,tv and a safetybox. So,nothing to complain.
Breakfast and diner are just great. In the future there will be a roof terrace too.
So, dont hesitate if you are in Vinales and looking for a casa, Vila Crystal is probably one of the best..

The room is in a small house at the quiet backyard. Everything is clean and is working fine. The family are working in the tourist business is very nice and concerned. They can fix almoast whetever you need. Food is excelllent

Anita and Francisco are very helpfull and likes to tell about their Cuba.

The room is great and clean.

During this tour you can buy cheap cigars at a local farmer.

On short notice they arranged we could stay at Maria's place opposite to Villa Cristal
Francisco helped us from the first e mail contact to the last day with his guidance and he even arranged a rental car for us .That while alle the rental companies were unable to help us!
They deserve a great future as they are a first rate example of the level of hospitality that belong to Cuba
