Meine Freundin Nadia und ich waren vom 3.12.09 – 6.12.09 in Vinales – ein traumhaft ruhiges Städtchen mit gastfreundlichen Einwohnern und einer tollen Landschaft.

Wir hatten das Glück, eine Unterkunft in der Villa Cristal bei Francisco, Any und deren Familie zu reservieren.

Zum einen hatten wir ein Zimmer mit TV, DVD, Kühlschrank samt Getränken und Klimanlage sowie einem modernen Bad/WC. Das Essen (Frühstück und optional auch Abendessen) war hervorragend – sowohl was Qualität aber auch Quantität betrifft (soviel Essen kann kein Europäer verdrücken) ;-)

Die Abende haben wir meist auf der Terrasse vor dem Haus in den Schaukelstühlen verbracht (wie das die meisten Leute in Vinales nach Feierabend tun) oder beim Domino (dem Lieblingsspiel der Kubaner) mit der Familie.

Falls Ihr auch mal das „echte Kuba“ in Vinales erleben wollt können wir Euch die Villa Cristal nur empfehlen. Was besseres findet Ihr kaum.

Casa style: Quiet, Fantastic hosts, Comfertable, Cozy, Charming, Beautiful, Safe

How was your room?: Das Zimmer war sauber und hatte alle Annehmlichkeiten die man sich wünscht (TV, DVD, Kühlschrank, Klimaanlage, Modernes Bad/WC).

How was the food the offer?: Das Essen war lecker und mehr als ausreichend. Unbedingt auch das Abendessen direkt im Casa geniessen!

Other services they offer: Auf Wunsch können Kleider zur Wäsche gegeben werden oder es können direkt vom Casa Ausflüge organisiert werden.

Other comments: Unbedingt ausprobieren! (und bitte liebe Grüsse von uns ausrichten) :-)

Casa Villa Cristal

We enjoyed our stay with Francisco and Any. Great hospitality. Delicious food (better than all the hotels). Nice room with beautiful bathroom.
Our young children enjoyed playing with their children.
We really felt at home and didn't like to leave.
We would recommend this casa to everyone, especially to those with young children.

Casa style: Fantastic hosts, Comfertable, Cozy, Beautiful, Safe

How was your room?: The room was nice. We stayed there with two small children, which is OK. It is a separate bungalow with a beautiful bathroom. You can enjoy sitting in the rocking chairs in the patio.

How was the food the offer?: Just great. Always too much and delicious. Better than in the Cuban hotels.

We were received by a charming couple. Any y Francisco.Thay have got 2 children: Efrain (6) and Flavia (3). Any and Francisco are both working all ay, so we were "spoiled" by Zora da. She is an aunt.
We had made a reservation for 5 days, but, yet the 2nd day diceded to stay 2 days longer.
The room was perfect, with everything you need. The meals were really delicious.
Any and Francico have become my real friends.
>From time to time we send eachother an e-mail (in Spanish, the laguage I want to learn.
Vi ales is a neautifull little town, lots to do and to see..
Any andFrancisco will help you where they can.
I hope to visit them next year. It will be very nice to see them again.
I do recommand their address. Don't forget.

This is a fabulous casa. Ani and Francisco work hard to make sure that you have a great time. Everything was perfect. The room is great and the shower is welcome. Ani's food is excellent. Make sure you try the fish. Francisco organises trips etc. Nothing went wrong. Make sure you use the 5CUC tour bus to explore the area. Wildlife in the garden fabulous. An amazing place. Thanks!!

Casa Villa Cristal

Francisco and Any are the best! And their kids are fun, too. Any is always smiling and cooking great meals and Francisco is fluent in English and a great host. This is the best place to see how a Cuban family lives and plays.
It helps that the house is beautiful, too! And now they have a whole separate guest bungalow, with a nice planted patio in between, so you can be as private or as outgoing as you want. I have stayed at Casa Cristal two times in a row, in 2008 and 2009, and it's a really great place!

Querida familia,

Last year we came for a short stay in Vinales. What a beautiful little ton. The way you received us was real hospitality. We had reserved for 5 nights, but decided to stay 2 nights longer. We enjoyed staying with you.
We feld "at home" in your casa. The meals you served were really delicious. You did everything you could to help us. After an excursion we had always the possibility of going to the swimming pool at the hotel Ermita.
I thank you very much for everything you did to make us comfortable. I hope your are all going well Any, Francesco, abuelo (opa) Bullo, Zoraïda, Efrain and Flavia After a week staying with you we had to go
to another place. It was hard for me to leaving you. You are such nice people. I am very glad that we decided to stay  mailfriends. So we will never forget eachother. I can recommand your casa to everybody who wants to have a nice place to stay in Vinales. One should be stupid te stay elsewhere than in Villa Cristal. Those, who prefer a hotel will miss your hospitality as well as your delicious meals. Also Zoraïda and opa Bullo did their upmost to make us feel a part of the family We will come back to Vinales. I do not know when, but in a couple of years we will be retired and will have more time to spend on your beautiful island. In the meantime we will keep in touch by e-mail.
One of these days you will receive another mail, in Spanish of course!

This is the best Casa we have stayed in Cuba! Francisco and Any are very helpful, both speak very good English. The food is very good, vegetable from their own garden. They room is nice and neat, bathroom is brand new. They have a welcoming booklet with all the tour and transportation information, which is super helpful. They even have DVDs and Books in the room. Very professional hosts. The whole family is supper sweet too. Thank you all so much

in planning my 21st trip to cuba, i went looking for my dear friend's page on cuba-junky and there they were, francisco and anita. i've known these two since 1999 and cannot say enough wonderful things about them. their home is just that, a clean, comfortable home full of love and humor. i'll cut this short as i'm welling up a bit just dreaming of september 9, 2009 when i can put my arms around them (and a little 7-year rum) once again...

don't miss this absolute gem located in my favorite town in all of cuba.

I can't believe we've stayed with you so often and still not left a note behind! Obviously too busy enjoying ourselves. How many times has it been... March 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, each time for a week, then two weeks in July 2006. What joy! You spoiled us so much with good company and good food that we've stopped 'looking' elsewhere. Honestly, you are like family and we love you all. Can't wait to see how Efrain and Flavia have grown. I'll be there again in a few weeks. I'm counting the days til I reach. Then I'll be in heaven again as Any serves up her tasty fare. This year I'm coming alone.. but my grand-daughters will hopefully come in 2010. See you soon. Chau pescao. Derek xoxo

Casa Villa Cristal

We Stayed at Villa Cristal In July 2007. It was the final leg of my tour of S. America And my Girlfriends Summer Holiday. My Girlfriend was late arriving due to London Delays, and i was stuck in Havana. Francisco was very understanding and everything was sorted out over the phone. When we arrived in Vinales after a very efficient bus service, we found the Villa and began what were 5 days of bliss. We stayed in the front room previous to the private bungalow. It was very well equipped, private and the fridge was always stocked with ice cold Cristal. The experience was everything we expected and so much more. The food was perfect every time.. And living with the family made the experience so much better. It was so relaxed and enjoyable. 
We had to days horse ride to the caves which was organized by Francisco. It was an amazing experience and i would definitely recommend it. Riding through rivers, and finishing up riding home in an immense thunder storm.
I would recommend Villa Cristal to anyone going to Vinales, Cuba or in fact anywhere near Cuba. 
We are going back when we have finished Uni. And cannot wait.

Our stay at Villa Cristal was wonderful and I wish we had stayed longer. Vinales is a lovely place and Francisco & his family make Your stay even better. The living conditions are excellent - total privacy, beautiful inner garden, nice room with all the things You might need (fridge, hair-dryer, TV+DVD player). Any cooks the best meals and Francisco can organize all the sightseeing and other entertainment. If You want to have the best vacation in Vinales - stay at Villa Cristal!

We spend 5 wonderful days in an exceptional landscape in Vinales. It was our first trip to Cuba and we enjoyed the friendly and relaxing atmosphere in and around the house. We stayed in the new room with an independent entrance from the garden. Any impressed us with great cooking skills. From us five stars.
